Apple’s Safari browser was the latest to add anti-phishing to its security arsenal. But despite the update, it is still unclear how the anti-phishing mechanism works. Safari uses Google’s database of blacklisted websites to prevent phishing attacks. When a user encounters a ‘Suspected Phishing’ box, it displays two links that direct to Google. The first one directs to an explanation link, while the second goes to the page where Google can be notified of the suspected website.
