The cyberspace is rampant with incidents of Pakistani and Indian hackers playing a game of one upmanship with repeated reports of hacking of government oriented websites.

Hackers cocked a snook at police fighting cyber crime by defacing the CID website, http://www.cidap.gov.in, in the wee hours of Tuesday.  Incidentally, CID also has a cyber crime cell. The hackers left abusive messages on the site targeting their Indian counterparts — HMG and http://www.andhrahackers.com — and declared the hacking of the CID website as a response to hacking of Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) website. They also hacked into the most-wanted list on the CID website. a group called Pakistan Cyber Army (PCA) had hacked the websites of ONGC (www.ongcindia.com), Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) (www.iirs.gov.in), Centre for Transportation Research and Management (CTRM) (www.ctram.indianrail.gov.in) and Kendriya Vidyalaya of Ratlam (www.kvrtm.org.in).

The ONGC site was quickly restored but the hackers’ war has been continuing at the CTRM’s website. On Wednesday, the current news on the website was changed several times by Atul Dwivedi. Kendriya Vidyalaya-Ratlam’s website which was hacked by PCA, has been re-hacked by HMG. More on……….

Opera has announced the version of the Opera Mini 4.2 mobile web browser. With the release of Opera Mini 4.2, Indians can now surf the Web in their own language, as the browser is now available in 12 different la
nguages available in Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Kashmiri.

In last few days before I am telling you about the Google Search experimental tool called SearchWiki, saying that it would allow users signed into Google to change the ranking of personal search results. The tool also lets users delete or add comments to searches. Now Google SearchWiki found Bugs, so Google had pulled back the SearchWiki feature to fix a bug in the system and the search engine innovator would be working to improve this ‘experimental’ feature.

BK Modi’s Spice Televentures company HotSpot has announced the Movie Card.
Your phone is no longer a gadget to just make calls, you can play music, click pictures and even watch movie. The latest offering by HotSpot does the latter, with Movie Card you can catch the latest Bollywood flicks like ‘Namastey London, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, etc…’ on your mobile phones 320×240 pixel screen.

Though Nokia has already done it in the past by bundling few movies with their N-series phone, like the Nokia N96 but the price of the phone has been a dampener.
