The cyberspace is rampant with incidents of Pakistani and Indian hackers playing a game of one upmanship with repeated reports of hacking of government oriented websites.

Hackers cocked a snook at police fighting cyber crime by defacing the CID website, http://www.cidap.gov.in, in the wee hours of Tuesday.  Incidentally, CID also has a cyber crime cell. They also hacked into the most-wanted list on the CID website. a group called Pakistan Cyber Army (PCA) had hacked the websites of ONGC (www.ongcindia.com), Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) (www.iirs.gov.in), Centre for Transportation Research and Management (CTRM) (www.ctram.indianrail.gov.in) and Kendriya Vidyalaya of Ratlam (www.kvrtm.org.in).

The ONGC site was quickly restored but the hackers’ war has been continuing at the CTRM’s website. On Wednesday, the current news on the website was changed several times by Atul Dwivedi. Kendriya Vidyalaya-Ratlam’s website which was hacked by PCA, has been re-hacked by HMG. More on……….
