Some of the other extras include FM radio, a 3.2 Megapixel snapper with Carl Zeiss lens and 3G with video-call support.

The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic may be announced on in a day or two and will hit the retail shop in April at a price of 220 euros.

The TringMe platform APIs enable developers to create voice and telephony applications in Adobe Air, Flash, Flex, AJAX, PHP, HTML, including smartphone platforms like Symbian, Windows Mobile and the iPhone OS. TringMe provides an ecosystem wherein VoIP providers, service providers, enterprises, developers and end-users can interact. It provides a platform for the development applications that integrate voice and telephony “without worrying about the underlying details of call routing and signalling.”

TringMe, a startup run by its founder Yusuf Motiwala, provides a unified platform offering that claims to integrate all existing voice and telephony communication devices. Its latest attempt at providing web-enabled voice application is the announcement of the VoicePHP programming language.

According to the TringMe website, VoicePHP is In simple terms, it’s the same old PHP which now enables you to create voice applications. It’s not an extension to PHP; infact it’s the same PHP which now outputs voice instead of text and also takes input as voice instead of text. In technical terms, it’s PHP whose standard text based input & output (stdio, stdout in programmer’s term) are replaced by voice equivalent. Refer the diagram below.

Here’s your chance to be part of the Nokia Nseries innovation process by designing a homescreen widget for the forthcoming Nokia N97, which is available during the first half of 2009.

A widget is a time-saving element of the device’s user interface, a visual building block that provides an easily accessible single interaction point with an application, which holds and processes data. There are thousands of types of widget.

For participate download the design package from here, design your widget and upload it for others to rate. Keep visiting the site to log your opinions on others’ offerings because the ten highest-rated designs will go in front of a panel of judges selected from the Nokia Nseries team. The panel will choose the best home screen widget based on creativity, usability and quality of design.

The winning widget will go into production, and the winning widget designer will receive a production-mode Nokia N97 ahead of the public release, pre-installed with their homescreen widget.

The closing date for the competition is February 27, 2009. The winner will be announced on Nokia website on March 13, 2009.

Motorola has launched yet another phone in the MotoYuva series — the MotoYuva EM 325.

The handset features a 1.3 megapixel camera with 4x zoom and auto-save option to snap pictures. For music, it features a one-touch access to MP3 library for music, an expandable memory up to 2GB to store all your music, and also comes with FM along with Share, which utilizes RDS2 (Radio Data System) technology, allowing the user to share information about a favorite station with friends by sending it in a text message.
